Hallo,
wir möchten in diesem Jahr von der Türkei aus auch Zypern besuchen. Hatte vor einiger Zeit gehört, dass es im griechischen Teil erhebliche Probleme geben kann, wenn man vorher in Nordzypern war. Gibt es hierzu genauere Informationen, wie sollte man vorgehen?

Dear Michael,

the restrictions are still applicable on the southern coast Cyprus Island by Greek Cypriot Authorities but not as strict as before.

You can sail from Turkey to Girne – Kyrenia, the only port on the Northern Coast. You have to have a reservation for DELTA Marina even for a short stay. Please contact Ilkin Kalipçioglu, the manager of the Marina by mail.

You can sail to Northern – Turkish part of Cyprus direct from Turkey, TRNC, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and after you can sail to Southern – Greek Part. There is no restriction from Turkish Cypriot. At your entry to any southern port or marina, you might be asked as if you have been to Girne – Kyrenia. There is no problem if you simply declare that you have not been in North Cyprus and you have sailed direct from Turkish mainland.

Thousands of sailors have sailed to Girne and after to southern part of Cyprus Island.

Lately, there are continues talks between two communities Leaders in the Island and the relation is much better. It is believed that soon there will be agreement in Cyprus Island.
